Affiliate Disclosure
How affiliate links work on this site, and our commitments to readers.
What this means
UK Padel Guide is an independent publisher, supported in part by affiliate commissions. When you click through to a retailer from this site and buy something within their cookie window, we may receive a small commission from the retailer at no additional cost to you.
This follows the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) guidance on disclosing commercial relationships, and the equivalent guidance from the US FTC for our American readers.
How we mark affiliate links
Affiliate links on UK Padel Guide are:
- Routed through internal redirects (paths starting with
/go/...) so we and you can see, at a glance, which links are affiliate links. - Marked with
rel="sponsored"andrel="nofollow"in the HTML, in line with Google's guidance on commercial outbound links. - Visually consistent with other links — we don't disguise them as editorial links, and we don't disguise editorial links as offers.
A short disclosure ("affiliate links") appears in any article that recommends products before the first commercial link.
Networks and retailers
UK Padel Guide currently uses or expects to use the following affiliate networks. When and if a programme is approved, recommendations on this site that link to the relevant retailer will use that programme's tracking link:
- Awin — used for Padel Point (DE), Padel Market (Italy / multi-country), Decathlon UK and others.
- CJ Affiliate — used for Padel Nuestro.
- Partnerize — used for the Frasers Group estate including Sports Direct (which carries Slazenger Padel gear).
Individual programme commissions are between the retailer and the network — typically a percentage of validated order value with a 30-day cookie. Approved programmes will be reflected in this list and visible in the outbound link's URL pattern.
What it doesn't mean
- We are not employed by, sponsored by, or speaking on behalf of any racket brand, club operator, tournament organiser or governing body. The LTA, Premier Padel, Slazenger Padel, Pure Padel, Game4Padel, Bullpadel, Adidas Padel and Head Padel are all independent organisations whose names appear on this site editorially.
- Affiliate revenue does not influence which products or venues we recommend. It influences which retailer is linked, where the same product is available from several. If we genuinely think the best racket for a beginner is one we have no affiliate relationship with, we say that.
- Clicking an affiliate link is optional. The product or venue page on the retailer's own site is always one search away; we don't gate information behind clicking.
Pricing
Affiliate commission is paid by the retailer, not by you. The price you pay is the price you'd pay going to the retailer directly.
Questions
If a recommendation seems off, or you spot a missing disclosure, please raise it via the contact details on the About page. We'll investigate, correct it if needed, and publish a note explaining what changed.
